Bostock Brothers have been certified organic since 2014 and are audited annually against the AsureQuality Organic Standard.
Products certified organic by AsureQuality carry the AQ organic certification mark and unique customer number, providing traceability and confidence that the product has been produced according to organic principles across the entire supply chain.
Free range chickens
Bostock Brothers chickens have access to roam freely outdoors in a free range environment.
The AsureQuality Organic Standard ensures that organic poultry are raised in open-range conditions and must not be kept in cages. The chickens must have access to the outdoors when weather permits and provided with protection from rain, wind, sun, and extreme temperatures.
Non-GMO feed
Bostock Brother’s chickens free range and forage for food on the farm. To ensure nutritional requirements are met, organic feed rations (including maize grown on the farm and supplements) are produced without the use of GMO materials.
Genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and products derived from them are prohibited from use under the standard, this includes farm inputs such as feed, fertilisers, soil conditioners, or crop protection materials.
No growth hormones
Bostock Brother’s chicken are raised without the use of synthetic hormones or any growth promotors.
Health management principles for organic farming systems are based on prevention. The use of substances to promote growth or production (including antibiotics) are prohibited within the standard.
